New content

I am very pleased with the soft launch of our new digital and underwriting report that has been produced in collaboration with Swiss Re.

We are also working with PGi on further content and conference activities around the use of collaboration technology.

Our monthly releases of review of articles , The Digital Insurance Library, will continue. We are also planning to release a bank of articles that we haven't had time to review - this could well create the largest reference site on digital insurance in the world.

Conferences

The Digital Insurer participated in 3 conference in the last quarter. Each conference had a different focus - with the LIMRA/ LOMA conference being distribution led,  the Asian Insurance Review CIO conference being technology led and the Insurance.com conference had a strategic focus. We may participate in a conference in South Africa in the first quarter of 2015. This will be interesting as Africa has some of the best examples of how mobile phones can be used to sell insurance to new market segments.

New sponsors & partners in 2015

I am pleased to announce we will be working with a leading SEO & SEM company in 2015 which will allow us to launch a new content section on the site dedicated to digital marketing in insurance. More details soon as we formally launch in the first quarter of next year.

We are also hoping to collaborate with a US specialist reporting on social media trends in insurance.

We are also actively searching for a sponsor and partner for 'digital insurance in action' - a content initiative focused on highlighting examples of successful digital initiatives. Fingers crossed as we need industry support to bring this to full potential.

In addition, we will be partnering with a number of technology providers as part of the Tech Guide for Insurance and this will allow us to develop more content in specific areas that support the digital transformation if insurance companies in the region.

How to participate

We have nearly 5,000 subscribers and nearly 2,000 members on our LinkedIn Group (which gives priority access to our new content as it is released). We are always looking for a range of views on Digital Insurance so if you would like to be a guest author in 2015 please get in touch with your ideas.

Setting some goals for 2015

It's the time of year for New years wishes & forecasts.

For the insurance industry in Asia I expect 2015 to be a year of accelerated digital transformation where we see insurers, and new entrants, willing to invest more aggressively as Boards make the strategic decision that " business as usual'  on its own is not the best strategy.

The Digital Insurer will remain focused on providing quality content to help this transformation and increasingly to link insurance professionals up to the professional providers who can help them to achieve their strategic goals.
