We’ve had a busy quarter with lots of events.  You can keep up to date with the latest happenings and material in our Events section.  Here’s our top picks for the quarter:

1. Our next webinar will be on the current hot topic of Blockchain and will be taking place on September 6th 2016.  We are in the process of finalising our panelists and agenda but you can register your place below.

2. In May, Rick Huckstep from The Digital Insurer led a BrightTALK webcast on "How InsurTech is changing the traditional insurance landscape".  View Rick's presentation here. 

3. Also in May, Rick presented at Swiss Re's annual client property event in London. Rick spoke about the benefits of increasing connectivity in the Home - you can view a summary video of the event here.

I am delighted that The Digital Insurer has partnered with Andrew Dart. Andrew has many years’ experience of insurance technology in the Asia Pacific region.

Andrew will formally head up the ANZ region, continue to support the broader APAC region and also focus on his particular area of interest in IoT and telematics. So if you have an interest in connected insurance you know who to contact.

Our original content production is continuing to expand:

  • D-Weekly edited by Shefi Ben Hutta has been launched with an entertaining view on the latest in insurance
  • Andrew De Kock is planning the launch of Africa Roundup with the first edition scheduled for later in July
  • Andrew Dart will be editing Insurance Connected which will also be launching in July and looking in-depth at the use of IoT, telematics an data in insurance
  • As announced above, we now have a new digital insurance newswire that provides third party links to news on digital insurance. It’s live and in beta and with your help on content and some learning around the content that engages we expect this to be become your most convenient global source of news on digital insurance
  • The launch of our mandarin Chinese WeChat news service is “imminent”. The Digital Insurer will help to facilitate the bi-directional flow of information on digital insurance from the rest of the world to China and vice versa. This is the first in a series of steps to make our content accessible to more people

Rick’s weekly InsurTech reviews have been very popular.  Rick will be taking a well earned break from the weekly over the summer – but will not be idle as we are working on a new format and service offering for InsurTech for both insurers and technology companies. 

​The Digital Insurer conference - Asia 2016

Needless to say we are working hard on the first conference and will be announcing speakers and nominations for the awards on a progressive basis over the next few months. We have a new format for conferences that includes remote attendance via live streaming that is available for both individuals and also insurers. We are also committing to the wisdom and experience of the digital insurance community and will be incorporating polls as well as live voting for the award winners – crowdsourcing our digital insurance champions in Asia if you like.

Over the coming months we will  start to establish a Correspondent Network around the world for people interested in contributing information on the activity in their countries and building their own personal profile on digital insurance. We will announce more soon – but if you are keen to know more ahead of that please do get in touch.
