1. The Digital Insurance Asia Conference - Hong Kong, 23 November 2016

2. Introducing our News Correspondnets

We've taken on 15 volunteer News Correspondents who will be helping us to report the latest news on Digital Insurance within their local markets from October.  They will be supporting the growth of our Newswire platform which brings you the latest news on digital insurance from around the globe. 3. Launch of WeChat Account
We have recently started to publish some of our content in Chinese and English via WeChat to achieve our goal to grow a community of Digital Insurance professionals in China.  We believe China is a key Insurance market, not only by size (in 2015, it became the third largest insurance market with a GWP of US $370 billion) but also in terms of its willingness to embrace and pioneer digital innovation – think Zhong An and Ping An.

5. The Digital Insurer partners with Raconteur and The Times
​We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Raconteur, the exclusive publisher of special interest reports in The Times & Sunday Times newspapers in the UK. We will be contributing an article, Digital Insurance - A view from Asia which will be published on 12th October.  We are excited to be part of the biggest publication this year on this in terms of scale and reach, written by the best journalists in the UK, and published in the most credible business paper in the UK.

Awards and Conferences


The Digital Insurer conference is shaping up well. We have excellent speakers and panellists and more than 30 award nominations. Attendees will be selecting the award winners by live voting and celebrating the efforts of the industry to innovate using technology / technology enabled business models.

We are also working on a very special surprise guest for the lunchtime slot. SHE is out to completely redefine the way insurance is sold and will be delivering some unique messages! More info to be revealed soon when we have official confirmation...

The conference is nearly full so do check out the remote attendance options as well as the last few tickets available. We do have some corporate packages for insurance companies as well.

We are also involved in two other significant conferences in November.

i) Chairing a session on the digital consumer at the InsuranceCom conference on 8th November in Hong Kong 

ii) Being a panellist at a session at LIMRA’s 2016 Asia Distribution Conference on 17-18th November in Bangkok

The Global News Correspondent Network

Thanks to the first 15 volunteers who have signed up and start this month.

Our aim is to get 40-60 correspondents around the world over the next 12 months or so. The result should be quicker access to the latest news plus the ability to get deeper into specific topics on a global basis.

If you have 2-6 hours a month to spare and a passion for digital insurance do get in touch and we will explain the role in more detail.

New Digital Insurance Reports coming up

We have three report initiatives coming up in the next few weeks.

i) We have partnered with leading analyst Paul Schulte on a paid report. Paul has a great take on the future of insurance and his report will be available from 10th October. It is titled “The InsurTech Asteroid: Is Extinction of Traditional Insurance Inevitable. A view from Asia”

ii) We are also partnering with The Raconteur, the UK based publication that is distributed by the Times. Our article on digital insurance in Asia will be available in their Future of Insurance report that is published on 12th October.

iii) We have partnered with George Kesselman from @InsureTechAsia and launching the first guide to the emerging InsurTech eco system in Asia. Singapore will be the first city to be covered in the guide and then progressively covering all countries across Asia. The report will be available for free from the end of October.

We will keep you informed as these reports become available on the site.

Tech Community

We are slowly but surely building up our tech community which offers a platform for all technology companies to reach out to the InsurTech community. We will be increasing our investment in this and are committed to providing a directory that is free for all technology companies. Let us know if you would like to be listed. Join the tech community

Can we be more multi-lingual?

One area where we would be delighted to have sponsors is in the area of language translation. We are doing some Mandarin translation and promotion of WeChat with the support of KPMG and would like to extend services to Spanish and Japanese in particular as a next stage. 

We are also looking for a sponsor to support the live streaming into Mandarin of the conference proceedings.
