Introduction
Welcome to this quarter’s update on the The Digital Insurer. We have changed the format to focus more on updates and call out key events with less of a 'digest' format.
We have had an even
busier quarter than usual so lots to report on - and lots of new content coming up.
NEW: TDI Event - World’s first global virtual digital insurance festival
TDI Global LIVEFEST has been launched and we are expecting more than 10,000 registrations for five live webinars around the world, supported by a
Virtual Exhibition Centre. Registration is free for all events.
We have Awards for four regions around the world and insurers, insurance distributors and startup InsurTechs can nominate themselves and also secure a complimentary virtual booth at the event. The Virtual Exhibition Centre is going to be packed with innovation and as it will be open throughout the month of November you will be able to drop in and out as you see fit to get the information, entertainment and
connectivity you want - and all without spending a single dollar on event registration, travel or accommodation.
Full event information including free registration and Award nomination can be found at the event site.
NEW: Regional blogs and newsletters
Over the next few months we are expanding coverage to more regional newsletters and we have launches for Africa, US and India in the final stages of execution, with more to follow.
We will use a quarterly format initially and these blogs are enabled by support from our growing network of News Correspondents around the world.
If you’d like to get involved in a regional newsletter, or to create a new one, do let me know.
Initial editions of regional newsletters will be quarterly and as soon as we have sponsor partners we will be able to extend to a monthly basis.
We will also take the opportunity to consolidate these regional newsletters into a single monthly email for all subscribers and then ask you to opt-in if you want to receive the content for specific regions by email when they are
published
Community Sponsor member programme launched
We are pleased to have launched our Community Sponsor programme in January which offers corporate membership benefits including better access to information on digital insurance, additional media coverage and preferential access to our jobs board (launching
soon).
The programme rollout is in progress to the nine initial Community Sponsors and our next enrolment period ends at the end of April. Thanks to the initial founding sponsors: Sun Life, MSIG, Ageas, Pacific Life Re, Prudential, Prudential Life, HSBC Insurance, KPMG and Swiss Re - thank you for your support.
Content highlights from Q1 2018 and new content
plans
We are celebrating the 10th edition of our monthly newsletter China in Focus that is sponsored by Swiss Re. Review all the editions here!
Our KPMG sponsored content continues to deliver the monthly Digital Insurance in Action newsletter and InsurTech Insights along with our well attended webinars. This months InsurTech insights has a special edition on autonomous vehicles. Our two webinars covered predictions for 2018 and the impact of HealthTech on insurance. Both were well attended with lots of questions to the panel - you can review the recording, poll results and Q&A here. Do also check out our Daily Newswire,
which continues to aggregate digital insurance
news, while providing clear links and attribution to the third party sources that do a great job helping to keep the industry abreast of the latest developments. in the next quarter we hope to launch a new live interview format called "TDI Talks!" as well as releasing a lot of the video content we have from previous events in a more easily accessible format.
We also plan a new Digital Talent section that will incorporate the jobs board. We are looking for a partner to help develop the Digital Talent section so please get in touch if this is of interest. Lastly our Library has been running for close to five year and has developed into the largest global knowledge base on digital insurance reports and white papers. We are going to review the format and have some ideas to get more people
involved.
Upcoming events
In addition to our own Global LIVEFEST event we are participating in a number of events in the quarter coming up in Bangkok, Singapore,
Indonesia, China and Romania. Full details are available on the events page.
We are also holding two webinars - the first on 10th May on Simplifying Customer experience and the second on 12th June on InsurTechs accelerating operating excellence. Registration is free.
ITR Connect launching soon
We have been working hard on our new information service on InsurTechs and are talking to founder members about options now. This service is designed to give your teams quality
