MedPro Group, the healthcare liability insurance arm of Berkshire Hathaway, has agreed to acquire renewal rights for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ (SRCS) Healthcare Professional Liability book of business.
Verifly, the NYC-based startup offering short-term liability coverage for small businesses and independent workers, announced that it has expanded and rebranded to become Thimble , supported by $22 million in Series A funding.
The two formed the joint venture Tesco Underwriting in 2009 and sources close to the relationship claim the supermarket giant plans to buyout the insurer’s 50.1% shareholding.
Broking business Brokerslink has announced a strategic partnership with African insurer SUNU Group, as it strengthens its ties with Africa. Brokerslink’s intermediaries and their clients will have access to exclusive wordings and health insurance plans.
Finch Group has purchased Martinez & Partners for an undisclosed sum. Finch Group began its acquisitive streak when bought by Broker Network Partners in 2016.
